With a deep desire for bringing the disparate together in balance, Colleen has great love for pairing bold patterns and metallic pieces with rustic elements, grounding her spaces as warm and inviting, while maintaining choice stylistic flair.
An early-found passion for design lead her to pursue an Interior Design degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, where she graduated with honors and studied at the Lorenzo de' Medici School in Florence.
Beginning her career as a designer and project manager for Susan Sargent Designs in Boston, Colleen’s work ethic and disposition translated to a portfolio of over 35 client homes and top sales within the firm’s retail practice.
Moving on as a freelance designer, she remained in Boston, but soon headed to the Coast to manage + buy for a showroom in Los Angeles, returning to the Northeast as a senior interior designer at an independent design firm in Fair Haven.
Seeking to foster her own designs further and more personally, she founded Colleen Rosar Design and complementary retail space, Commonwealth, in 2012 at it’s Spring Lake location. The breadth of her work can be found across residential homes in NYC, Rumson, Fair Haven, Spring Lake, Sea Girt and Manasquan.
